Q: How do I borrow books through interlibrary loan?
Q: Is there a charge for interlibrary loan?
- Most of the time, we are able to obtain materials at no cost to you. If a charge is involved, we will contact you before placing the order.
Q: How long does it take?
- Articles generally arrive within 24-48 hours. Books can arrive in 3 to 5 days, but occasionally may take a week or longer. You will be notified via email when your article or book is available.
Q: Where's the article I ordered?
- Articles are delivered to your ILLiad account. When you receive an email notification that your article is available, login to your ILLiad account and look for your " Electronically Received Articles" to find it. It remains active for 60 days. Please note: due to copyright guidelines and the cost of copyright royalties, we cannot obtain duplicate articles for users during a calendar year. Please be sure to SAVE or PRINT your articles for future reference.
Q: When is my book due?
- Due dates are on the strap wrapped around your book.
Q: How can I renew a book?
- Renew books by logging in to your ILLiad account.
- Navigate to your "Checked out items" link and click on the link for the title you wish to renew
- Click on "renew" located near the top of the screen.
- Interlibrary loan staff will contact you when your renewal is approved or denied.
- Some materials are marked "no renewal" when you receive them. These may not be renewed.
- EZBorrow books are NOT renewable.
Q: Where do I return my book?
- Please return your book to the circulation desk of your local library. If you are a distance education student, you were shipped a return UPS label to use when you received your book. If you have lost your label, please contact your local campus interlibrary loan staff.
