The Air Conditioning system in Stevenson Library is down.  It will likely take 2-3 months to be repaired or replaced.

In the meantime, dehumidifiers, portable AC units, and fans have been placed throughout the library to keep offices reasonably cool and to minimize the risk of damage to the books, journals, and other physical collections.

Stevenson Library will remain open through the summer, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.  If you enter the library, please be aware that it may be very warm, and please be careful as you walk near the electrical wires connected to the dehumidifiers, AC units, and fans.

On days when it is too warm for library staff to remain in their library offices, they will relocate to Robinson Hall, and the library's doors will be locked.  You will still be able to enter the library if you need a specific item (book, laptop, etc.).  Please call 570-484-2311.  Staff will come to open the doors and help you find what you need as soon as they’re able.

If you need help from the IT Help Desk when the library’s doors are locked, please call 570-484-2286 and select Option 3.
