A Molecular Band-Aid Reduces Area of Desmoplakin Exposed for Cleavage by Calpain (presentation on Youtube). Catherine Hoover - Chemistry; Biochemistry
Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, a genetic disease characterized by fibrofatty infiltration into the myocardium, can be linked to mutations in the protein desmoplakin (DSP). Herein, we performed molecular dynamics on DSP to test our “molecular band-aid,” a mutation which models a treatment for ACM.

Wondering Trees.
By: Natasha Kamzelski
It's about shedding my old self and reflecting on who I have left in the past. The trees are my past experiences and the snake is my old self wondering through the reflecting memories. The snake is moving away from me as I release these thoughts.

Liar's Club.
By: Ray Nobles
The “Liar’s Club” is a woodblock print comprised of five different colored inks. Using long nosed masks and knifes, the print depicts all of the liars we face in the world and the many backstabbing situations we deal with, from little people like friends to the much larger beings known as the media and government.

Hades and Cerberus.
By: Kaitlin Tewell
“Hades and Cerberus” was made in John Shanchuk’s Digital Illustration class Fall 2019. The project was to ‘paint’ a story using Photoshop. I chose to paint Hades with his guard dog, Cerberus because it was a kind tale about the gentle nature of Hades and his compassion for misunderstood creatures.

The Woods.
By: Kaitlin Tewell
“The Woods” was made in John Shanchuk’s Digital Illustration class Fall 2019. The project goal was to take existing textures or make your own and collage them together into a landscape of choice. This project was a very difficult one for me and took several versions to get the final.
