Borrowing & Circulation

Renewals and Overdue Notices

Renewals

Materials may be renewed twice either in person or online via the Library Catalog if no one else has placed a hold on them.

Overnight materials, lost items, and overdue items cannot be renewed.

Overdue Materials

Return or renew materials on or before the due date.

All library materials charged to faculty and staff become due at the end of the academic term.

Renewal of materials via the library catalog or at your local circulation desk may take place at this time.

The following sequence will apply to all overdue notices, with the exception of reserve and restricted use (i.e., bound periodical) materials.

  1. A reminder notice will be sent 1 day after the item due date.
  2. An item will be considered lost 2 days after the item due date.
  3. A notice with a charge for the replacement cost will be sent.

Account Holds: All library fines are reviewed and as a patron you are notified of the action if your fine(s) have been turned over to Student Financial Services and/or the Registrar’s office for a transcript/registration or graduation hold on your account.
